Thane (Maharashtra) [India], September 10 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde launched the ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin Kutumb Behet’ campaign in Thane on Tuesday.
As part of Shiv Sena’s outreach initiative, the Chief Minister visited the homes of beneficiary families in Kisan Nagar, Jai Bhavani Nagar. He interacted with the women to assess how effectively they were benefiting from the government’s welfare schemes.
This public relations drive, aimed at reaching two crore households across Maharashtra, is being spearheaded by Yuva Sena.
During his visit, the Maharashtra Chief Minister met 15 families in the Kopri-Pachpakhadi Assembly constituency. He expressed confidence that through the concerted efforts of Shiv Sena’s ministers, MLAs, MPs, representatives, and Yuva Sena activists, the party will achieve its goal of reaching one crore homes within the week.

Speaking about the campaign, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde emphasised its ground-level approach. “This is not just another announcement from the government; it’s an initiative where we are personally going to the streets and into homes, ensuring that people understand and benefit from the government schemes,” said the Maharashtra Chief Minister.
He highlighted that similar outreach efforts, like the ‘Shasan Aplya Dari’, have already benefitted more than 5 crore citizens, and the ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin Kutumb Behet’ campaign will similarly benefit a large number of people, bringing direct benefits to the people.
The campaign will see nearly one lakh Shiv Sena leaders, activists, and volunteers going door-to-door over the next two weeks, ensuring widespread communication. An app has been developed to keep track of the outreach activities. Yuva Sena working president Purvesh Sarnaik assured that the party will leave no beneficiaries behind, ensuring help reaches every doorstep.
As part of the campaign, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde visited the homes of Reshma Bhaskar Pandav, Archana Patil, and Radha Rawat in Kisan Nagar 2. He explained the various government welfare schemes to the families, ensuring they were aware of how to benefit from them.
In Jai Bhavani Nagar, the Chief Minister also visited the homes of Sheetal Kalekar, Sunanda Kalgude, Seema Latnekar, and Swati Ghadge. Sheetal Kalekar expressed her gratitude, mentioning how the Ladki Bahin Yojana provided much-needed financial support despite a delayed application. Swati Ghadge expressed her joy and surprise at having the Maharashtra Chief Minister himself visit her home and enquire about their concerns. (ANI)
