Patna (Bihar) [India], May 24 (ANI): Rajya Sabha MP & RJD leader Manoj Jha on Friday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks in a recent interview and said, “If any of us could say such a thing, our family will take us to a doctor”.
At a press conference held in Patna, the RJD leader said, “After saying things about buffalo, Mangalsutra, PM Modi is now saying that they (opposition) will take your tap and cut the electricity. No one can see any big leader in the world saying such things. When despair takes over your mental balance, people say such things”.
“PM Modi said that God had sent him as a messenger. If any of us say such a thing, our family will take us to a doctor that his mind is not working and he is saying that he has direct dialogue with God. PM Modi and his team are rattled due to the reports that he is getting from IB…,” Manoj Jha added.
PM Modi had said in an interview to a news channel that till his mother was alive, he felt that perhaps his birth was biological and after her demise when he connects various experiences, he is convinced that God has sent him.
On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi also took potshots at PM Modi over some of his earlier remarks. “God, what kind of person you have sent,” he said.
“During COVID, there were bodies floating in Ganga. In Delhi, people were dying outside hospitals. The one who has been sent by God said brothers and sisters, switch on light of your mobile phones…” Gandhi said at a rally in Delhi’s Dilshad Garden.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two election rallies in Himachal Pradesh today ahead of the sixth and seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 25 and June 1.
Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases till June 1. Polling for five phases has already been concluded. The next round of polling will be held tomorrow, May 25.
