New Delhi [India], June 13 (ANI): After assuming charge as the Minister of State (MoS) for Cooperation and Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol underscored the critical role of the civil aviation sector in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047 adding that it is a very good opportunity.
“For the vision of PM Modi’s 2047, the resolution he made for a developed India, I think this sector is very important. Civil aviation is a very important ministry. Under this, the country can make very important progress,” Mohol said.
Reflecting on the progress made in the civil aviation sector, Mohol highlighted the transformative changes witnessed over the past decade.
“It is a very good opportunity that I have got a chance to work on. If we look at the last 50 years, then not much was done in 40 years. But in the last 10 years, a lot has been done in the civil aviation sector. The countrymen are witnessing it. There are many challenges in the future, too and we have to work on them. We have to use the opportunity that we have got. We have to do good work in the future,” the union minister said.
After taking a briefing on his first day, Mohol expressed his commitment to understanding the ministry’s structure and tackling future challenges.
“Today I took a briefing. After that, we will understand the structure; a lot has to be done,” Mohol said.
Earlier in the day, Mohal took over as the Minister of State in the Civil Aviation Ministry. He expressed his enthusiasm and commitment to his new role in a post on X.
“Will touch new heights… The Government of India is moving ahead rapidly under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who is taking India to new heights. Today, I took over as the Minister of State in the Civil Aviation Ministry, an important part of this government,” Mohol said.
Before assuming his new responsibilities, Mohal met with the Civil Aviation Minister, Ram Mohan Naidu. He expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi for the opportunity to serve in this capacity.
“I am thankful to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for giving me this opportunity to take up this new responsibility. I have resolved to take this ministry to even greater heights,” the tweet read.
Highlighting the achievements of the Civil Aviation Ministry over the past decade, Mohal noted the significant advancements in providing facilities to various businesses and the resulting increase in employment.
“The work done by the Civil Aviation Ministry in the last ten years is providing facilities to people in different businesses. Employment is increasing. The number of airports is increasing rapidly. We are touching new heights in this field too. We are getting connected to countries across the world,” the tweet added.
He also emphasised the transformative impact of the aviation sector on the lives of ordinary citizens.
“The picture of the whole country has changed. The dream of common people to travel by plane is getting fulfilled. Not only the dream, the economic status is also changing due to this facility,” Mohal said.
Concluding his message, Mohal reiterated the increased responsibility of the ministry and his commitment to its progress stating, “Therefore, the responsibility of this ministry has also increased. We are committed to take it forward in many ways.” (ANI)
