Uttarakhand government will give a master plan for the beautification of Badrinath Temple, The Uttarakhand government will present its master plan worth Rs 424 for the beautification of Badrinath and expansion of facilities for devotees around the Himalayan temple to the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday, said by officials. The master plan was made for the beautification of Badrinath was made on the lines of Kedarpuri reconstruction at the behest of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has personally controlled the progress of the projects already under the implementation at Kedarnath.
The tourism Secretary of Uttarakhand, Dilip Jawalkar will give a presentation at the PMO on Wednesday in the presence of Chief Secretary Om Parkash, said by an official source. Development works around the famous temple are to be done in three phases, said Chamoli district Magistrate Swati S Bhadouriya that currently final touch to the master plan.
The beautification of shesh Netra and Badrish lakes which is near the temple is to be done in the first phase. In the 2nd phase, the temple and areas near to it will be done and a path connecting the temple directly with the Shesh Netra Lake will be made in phase third, said by Ms. Bhadouriya.
The given plan also includes beautification of the ponds around the temple, expansion, and widening of roads which are leading to the shrine, developing Badrish Van, and construction of parking facilities near it, besides the riverfront development in the planned manner, she said.
The master plan on Badrinath has already been given to the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat who has approved it. Officials said that the work of the beautification of Badrinath Temple has started in November this year, once the PM Narendra Modi has accepted the proposal as it is. Officials are waiting for the response of PM.
