Ukhimath (Uttarakhand) [India], October 28 (ANI): Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday repeated the words of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the upcoming decade belongs to Uttarakhand while urging the people to extend their support for the development in Kedar valley.
CM Dhami was speaking at an event organised in Rudraprayag’s Ukhimath ahead of the upcoming by-election in the Kedarnath assembly constituency. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Asha Nautiyal has been given a ticket from this seat.
“Everyone knows about the relationship and attachment respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi has with the Kedar land. He had said from this land that the coming decade belongs to Uttarakhand. I request all of you to give your support to Asha ji to take forward the development work in Kedar valley,” he said.
While addressing the gathering, CM Dhami said that India is moving towards becoming a world leader under the leadership of PM Modi. The Prime Minister is working for 140 crore people of the country who he considers as his family, he said.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is becoming the leader today. We are once again moving ahead towards becoming the world leader. The Prime Minister is working for 140 crore people in the country, considering them as his family. A new India is being built under his leadership,” Dhami said.
While taking a dig at Congress, Dhami said that the opposition party spreads lies in the name of Baba Kedarnath, whereas the BJP believes that faith and devotion towards holy places should remain.
“Congress spread lies and confusion in the name of Baba Kedarnath, whereas our endeavour is that the faith and devotion towards our holy places should remain intact. A temple was built in the name of Badrinath in Mumbai, on which the Congress government did not take any action. Baba Kedar will take account of the lies of Congress,” the Chief Minister said.
While accusing Congress of indulging in corruption and promoting appeasement, Dhami said that new scams used to happen everywhere during the Congress’ rule.
“On one side there is our BJP government and on the other side, there are Congress people who promote corruption and appeasement. During the Congress rule, new scams used to happen every day, they did scams everywhere,” he said.
The Uttarakhand Chief Minister further informed that the state government will bring in strict land laws while saying that they have carried out many developmental works in Kedarnath.
“We will soon bring in strict land laws as our slogan is only BJP can and will do it. Earlier, I had said that until Kedarnath gets a new MLA, I will work as the MLA of Kedarnath and accordingly we have carried out many development works in Kedarnath,” Dhami said.
Earlier in the day, Dhami joined BJP candidate Nautiyal on the occasion of nomination filing for the upcoming by-election in Uttarakhand. (ANI)
