Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 23 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the foundation stone-laying ceremony of 127 developmental projects on Monday.
Highlighting the Jal Jeevan Mission, the Chief Minister said that people will be not only be getting fresh water, but also there are efforts to eliminate the water-borne diseases, trying to set a new standard for the schemes.
“There was a crisis of drinking water in the Vindhya region, the result of the vision of the Prime Minister is the Har Ghar Jal Yojana. When this scheme is completed, along with drinking water, there will be freedom from water-borne diseases. To stop these water-borne diseases and to get fresh water, a new standard would be set. The aim of Jal Jeevan mission is to solve such an important problem and bring it to new heights,” said the CM.
He also highlighted the ‘Har Ghar Nal’ scheme of the government. Speaking further about the various schemes of the government, he mentioned that along with Mirzapur, Soanbhadra district is also getting a medical college.
“Today I am proud to say that Har Ghar Nal Yojana (A tap in every house) is also getting implemented. Not only that, along with Mirzapur, the work to get medical colleges in Soanbhadra have also started by us. The youth will be getting another college in Soanbhadra to study medicine,” he said.
He further highlighted that the medical college in Mizrapur would be starting a nursing centre too, guaranteeing 100 per cent placement for the students.
“Today a university is going to be built in Mirzapur, construction work is going to start, educational work will also start from the next session, a grand university is going to be built in the name of Maa Vindhyavasini,” he said.
“Also, in Mirzapur Medical College, nursing studies would be starting soon. Women would not have to go outside the country or outside the state to study nursing. The nursing centre would be giving a 100 placement guarantee, agar beti padhegi, toh aage bhadegi (if the daughter studies, then she would be progressing). So that a daughter can get new possibilities in nursing, Rs 765 crore initiative was started,” the CM added,
Additionally, the UP CM emphasised that before the schemes were not implemented properly, claiming that there was discrimination in who would get the benefits of certain schemes. He said that such a thing has changed under the current government and all schemes have benefitted the poor, farmers, and women the most.
“10 years ago, Mirzapur district was untouched by connectivity, the poor did not get the benefits, what was the condition of the holy Shaktipeeth and roads, goons and mafia rule was prevalent, this is not hidden from anyone,” he said.
“In 7 and a half years, you have seen Mirzapur changing, today the holy place of Vindhyavasini is being built in a grand and divine form, earlier during Navratri, there was fear in the narrow streets, but now during Navratri you will have easy darshan, could this not have been done earlier,” he added.
He also mentioned that before the deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya had come to Mirzapur, an employment fair had been organised for the people.
“I am here to tell you that before this there was discrimination in giving schemes to the people. few days ago, the Deputy CM had come along with other ministers, a rozgar mela (employment fair) had been organised, people got tablets and smartphones, and multiple schemes were getting implemented, so brothers and sisters, this is the same thing of pushing the implementation of the schemes today. Remember, the benefits of such schemes helped the poor, farmers, and women, without discrimination. We never discriminated based on jati or caste. We believe that it is important to have unity for the nation instead of trying to divide it. If unity of the nation is strong, then the country is secure,” he added. (ANI)
