Karnal (Haryana) [India], June 11 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini criticized Congress over the religion-based reservation, saying that the reservations of SC and ST have been given to others and it is a well-thought plan to disturb the brotherhood among communities.
“It is unfortunate that the reservations of SC and ST have been given to others based on religion. The Congress government in Karnataka has done this. It is a well-thought-out plan to disturb the brotherhood among communities prevailing in the country,” Saini told reporters.
“People have now seen the real face of Congress and this party will be wiped out from the country. The foundation that they have built on lies will fall,” he added.
On June 6, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini took oath as MLA of Karnal at the Haryana Assembly complex under the administration of Assembly Speaker, Gyan Chand Gupta.
Nayab Singh Saini had recently won the assembly by-elections in the Karnal assembly constituency.
Prior, he was serving as the Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency and was sworn in as Chief Minister of the state just before the announcement of Lok Sabha election dates. He also served as the state president of Haryana BJP.
Earlier on Monday, Haryana Congress held a meeting presided over by the Leader of the Opposition in Haryana Assembly Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Haryana Congress chief Uday Bhan.
In the meeting, the results of the Lok Sabha elections and the upcoming Haryana assembly elections are expected to be discussed. The MLAs and MPs from Haryana are expected to strategize on the upcoming assembly election in the meeting.
The party leaders assessed the strong and weak booths to strengthen their base for the Assembly polls, besides holding meetings to express their gratitude. Haryana is expected to hit the poll in the later part of the year. (ANI)
