Khowai (Tripura) [India], October 6 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday inaugurated a synthetic football turf at the Khowai Government Boys’ School ground, which was funded with an investment of Rs 5 crore.
The initiative is in lieu to create more advanced sports facilities to support talented athletes in Tripura
Sports Minister Tinku Roy also attended the opening ceremony. This new facility is expected to greatly enhance football development in the Khowai district, offering aspiring players better training and competitive opportunities in the future, said sources.
Earlier in the week, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended the Bhoomi Pujan of the proposed Ekta (Unity) Mall on Thursday.
“Ekta Mall is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream project. Those responsible for constructing the Ekta Mall have stated that they will complete the work within 27 months,” Saha said
“However, you must set a target earlier than this and complete it as soon as possible. I hope that until the work is completed, the MLA and local people will help and keep a close eye on it from time to time,” he added.
The Chief Minister said that Ekta Mall will emerge as an important hub for promoting and selling the state’s products in the future.Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative of establishing Ekta Mall in every state, CM Saha said that he took part in this initiative by participating in the Bhumi Pujan.
In a social media post on X, Manik Saha wrote, “To promote ‘One District, One Product’, PM @narendramodi Ji has decided to establish PM-Ekta Mall in every state. As part of this initiative, today participated in the Bhumi Pujan of proposed Ekta Mall at Hapania, to be built at a cost of approximately Rs 150 crore. I firmly believe that this complex will emerge as an important hub for promoting and selling the state’s products in the future.” (ANI)
