Agartala (Tripura) [India], June 23 (ANI): The Tripura unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to convene an extended state executive meeting ahead of the Panchayat elections in the state to brainstorm on the party’s previous achievements and the future course of action.
“The extended state executive meeting will be held between June 27 and July 10. The dates haven’t been finalised yet. Such meetings are generally conducted for a day, but this time it may be a bit longer as the Mandal level leaders are also going to attend,” BJP Tripura Vice President Tapas Bhattacharjee said.
“They are being involved in this meeting to sensitise them about the forthcoming elections, and the state leadership can hear their views directly on different things, including the preparedness of the panchayat polls,” he added.
The senior BJP leader also informed that the party would also discuss the political developments that occurred in the last three months.
Bhattacharjee also sharply reacted to the allegations raised by Leader of Opposition Jitendra Choudhury.
“Our state is inviting investors. We can’t decide the political affiliation of the investor. Industrialists are at liberty to subscribe to any political ideology. But, what I can add here is that no illegal work will be allowed under this regime. People will come, they will invest their money, and they will be allowed to work here, followed by all necessary clearances,” said Bhattacharjee. (ANI)
