New Delhi [India], August 11 (ANI): Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh attended the launch ceremony of the book titled ’75 Great Revolutionaries of India’ by Rajya Sabha MP Bhim Singh in New Delhi on Sunday.
Speaking to ANI at the launch ceremony of the book, Harivansh Narayan Singh said, “Rajya Sabha MP Bhim Singh has done a creative and inspiring work. He worked on the lesser-known and unknown heroes of history”.
Hailing the MP Bhim Singh for bringing up this book, Singh added, “He researched and collected facts. In this row, he prepared 3 books on the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation…It is a beautiful work (done) by him.”
The Rajya Sabha Dy Chairman said one gets inspiration for building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) from the sacrifices of these lesser-known heroes.
He added, “Many historians have mentioned that you get the strength for the future from the past…When we read about such heroes, we get the strength and inspiration for building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ from the sacrifices of these lesser-known heroes.”
He further said that the book consists tells stories of 75 revolutionaries and one gets inspired after reading about such great leaders.
“…He (Rajya Sabha MP Dr Bhim Singh) came up with 3 books. This book consists of 75 revolutionaries and their stories…When you read about such leaders, you get inspired and get to know about the untouched and unknown stories of their struggle and devotion,” he said.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tribute to freedom fighters who participated in the ‘Quit India Movement’ led by Mahatma Gandhi.
“Homage to all those who took part in the Quit India Movement under Bapu’s leadership. It was truly a watershed moment in our freedom struggle,” PM Modi had said in a post on X.
The Movement was accompanied by a mass protest on non-violent lines by which Mahatma Gandhi called for “an orderly British withdrawal; from India.” Through his speeches, Gandhi moved people by proclaiming that “every Indian who desires freedom and strives for it must be his own guide.”
The day is observed as August Kranti Day every year. (ANI)
