Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], June 7 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma addressed a meeting on the upcoming revised budget for the financial year 2024-25 with the representatives of the employee union on Thursday.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that state employees have an important role in the implementation of public welfare schemes of the state government.
He said that due to their activeness, the benefits of schemes in important areas like health, education, social security, and infrastructure are reaching the ground and the concept of Antyodaya (welfare of the people in the bottom of the pyramid) is becoming a reality.
He said that the state government is sensitive towards the interests of employees and that every possible effort will be made to solve their problems.
Chief Minister Sharma said that employees are the main medium of progress in Rajasthan.
“Be it village or city or secretariat, small and big works are done at every level due to their activeness. The goal of ‘Our leading Rajasthan’ will be achieved only by their role in the development of the state, welfare of the people and upliftment of the society,” CM Sharma said.
He said that it is the duty of the state government to solve the real problems of the workers. Also, the state government is committed to honouring those employees who are working with a commitment to good governance. The role of employees in conducting the recently held grand festival of democracy, Lok Sabha general elections, has been commendable.
CM Sharma said that the employees working across the state know the pulse of the problems and important issues of all sectors. “Therefore, the employees’ association should give suggestions on all other subjects in addition to their own subjects.”
He said that the upcoming budget will be prepared keeping in mind the expectations of all sections and stakeholders. With a pro-people approach, the state government will prepare a roadmap for a developed Rajasthan in this budget.
The Chief Minister said that the important suggestions of the employee unions will prove effective in making the upcoming budget inclusive. The state government will examine the positive suggestions sensitively and make every possible effort to include them in the budget. Along with this, he also instructed the ministers of all departments to communicate with the employees and officers and listen to their needs and resolve them.
Representatives of various employee associations thanked the Chief Minister for inviting them to the pre-budget dialogue. They said that this is the first time that the state government has taken cognizance of the problems of employees within just 6 months.
Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Shikhar Aggarwal and Principal Secretary Alok Gupta, Principal Secretary Personnel Hemant Gera along with representatives of employee organizations associated with various departments were present in the meeting.
