Fazilka (Punjab) [India], July 2 (ANI): A Pakistani intruder was neutralized as the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an infiltration bid alongside the international border in the Sadarpura village of the Fazilka district in Punjab, an official statement by the BSF said.
According to the BSF, the troops observed suspicious movement of a Pakistani miscreant approaching towards border security fence after crossing the International Border in the area near the bordering Village of Sardarpura at about 9:30 p.m. on Monday.
The BSF troops challenged the intruder. However, he did not stop and continued to move towards the security fencing.
Sensing imminent danger and keeping in view the high-alert situation on the border during night hours, the troops on duty, fired upon the advancing intruder neutralizing him on the spot, the BSF said.
The BSF further added that vigilant BSF troops once again decimated the nefarious designs of cross-border terror syndicates to organise this infiltration bid into the Indian territory from across the border.
Earlier in May, two terrorists were gunned down as the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. (ANI)
