Pune (Maharashtra) [India], July 17 (ANI): In a significant development, the Pune police have issued a notice to Probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, requesting her presence to record her statement regarding her harassment complaint against Pune District Collector Suhas Diwase.
Khedkar is expected to appear tomorrow to provide her statement.
Probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar has filed a harassment complaint against Pune district collector Suhas Diwase with the Washim police, according to an official statement on Tuesday.
Following allegations of misusing her authority, trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar was relieved from the District Training Programme of the State Government of Maharashtra on Tuesday.
Pooja Khedkar has been recalled to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Musoorie and her training has been put on hold.

Meanwhile, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Friday blamed the administrative set-up for the trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar controversy and said that earlier, there was a dialogue with the administration, but nowadays only directions are given.
“In this country, three states were famous for their good administration: Gujarat, Bihar, and Tamil Nadu. Earlier, we too were good. We had a good dialogue with the administration. But nowadays, this dialogue is missing. There are only directions that can be seen these days,” Sharad Pawar told reporters.
Earlier, on Wednesday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Pune initiated an inquiry against Dilip Khedkar, father of Puja Khedkar, to investigate the unaccounted wealth owned by the family.
IAS Pooja Khedkar, who secured an All India rank of 821 in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams, has been allegedly accused of abusing her authority.

Earlier, the Pune Police had decided to take action against the Audi car that was used by the IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, who was transferred from Pune to Washim in Maharashtra for misusing her authority.

The Pune Police Commissioner, Amitesh Kumar, said, ‘We are here to take action. The gate is closed, but we will proceed with the investigation once it is opened. Pune Police will examine the car used by the trainee IAS officer under the Motor Vehicles Act.”

He also said that the police would be recovering all the pending challans on the car. “Using a beacon on the private car is a violation of traffic rules. The police will also be recovering all the pending challans on the car,” Kumar said. (ANI)
