Thane (Maharashtra) [India], October 5 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off metro train between BKC to Aarey JVLR section of Mumbai Metro Line -3. He also travelled on metro train and interacted with people, including school children and women.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde appreciated PM Modi and said that development (Vikas) and vishwas (trust) are two forms of the Modi government. The CM further thanked PM Modi for the centre’s approval to confer classical language status to Marathi.
“The successful and popular Prime Minister of the country has arrived in Thane today. I thank him for taking a historic decision to give the status of classical language to Marathi language,” the Chief Minister said while addressing at an event in Thane.
Hailing PM Modi, he said, “The Prime Minister talks about speed and progress. Vikas and Vishwas are two forms of Modi government.”
Speaking on the developmental projects initiated and lashing out at the previous Maharashtra government led by Uddhav Thackeray, he said, “Today is a crucial day for Mumbai. The journey from Thane to Mumbai is going to be smooth. We will answer opponents through the developmental work we are doing. Mumbai Metro Line 3 was suspended but our government overturned the decision. Atal Setu Coastal Road is being completed today. Our government has now become a beloved government for the people. It is not our government that eats COVID patients’ khichdi.”
Meanwhile, PM Modi, at the same event, launched a scathing attack against the Congress, saying that it is the most dishonest and corrupt party in the country. He further said that they loot land, abuse women, and support urban Naxals. The PM warned the people, saying that if we get divided, then those who are dividing us will celebrate. (ANI)
