Paris [France], September 3 (ANI): After winning gold in women’s 10m SH1 event at the Paris Paralympics, Avani Lekhara now has another chance to make it two as she qualified for the R8 women’s 50m 3 positions final event.
Avani finished 7th to qualify for the R8 W50 rifle 3p final with a score of 1159.
Whereas Mona Agarwal, who had a bronze to her name, finished 13th with a score of 114 and could not qualify for the final 8.
Earlier, Avani Lekhara clinched India’s first gold at the Paris Paralympics after dominating the final of the women’s 10m air rifle. She ensured her place at the top of the podium with 249.7 points, which also marked her personal best performance in the event. Mona Agarwal snatched the bronze medal in the same event.

She got her hands on her second medal in the ongoing Paralympics in the 200m T-35 race. Preeti delivered an eye-catching performance that saw her take away the bronze medal.
