Islamabad [Pakistan], June 2 (ANI): The wife of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Pakistan, who was earlier reported missing, was found safe at a park in Islamabad, ARY News reported.
Nguyen Tien Phong, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Pakistan, had earlier reported his wife missing on Saturday. The police found her at Islamabad’s F-9 park.
Police officials stated that the ambassador had reported the incident, mentioning that his wife left their residence at 11 am and hadn’t returned.
According to the authorities, the ambassador’s wife was found sitting in F-9 park in Islamabad.
Allegedly, there existed a dispute between the Vietnamese ambassador and his wife.
Upon receiving the report, Islamabad police initiated an investigation. They searched CCTV footage from Safe City cameras to track the missing woman’s movements, according to ARY News.
Separate teams were formed for the investigation and operation division, with oversight from the DIG Operations and SSP Operations.
Recently, in a distressing event, impostors posing as police officers robbed a foreign woman in the F-6 Supermarket of Islamabad’s diplomatic enclave.
According to sources, two men, disguised as police officers, intercepted the woman, snatching Pound 500 and other valuables.
The perpetrators were not in uniform when they stopped the foreign woman.
In another incident, a foreign woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a security guard assigned for her protection in Islamabad’s G-6/4 area, ARY News reported. (ANI)
