Sukma (Chhattisgarh) [India], July 15 (ANI): A field hospital opened by the security forces under the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ scheme in Puvarti village of Sukma, the native place and stronghold of dreaded Naxalite leader Hidma, reduced the gap between locals and security forces.
A villager from Puvarti village said that the people of the village are getting benefits from the hospital.
“We have benefited from the hospital. The doctors have treated us and saved our lives. People from the village come here for treatment. All the villagers know that a medical camp has been set up here.
Meanwhile, IG Bastar P Sundarraj said that security forces are working as per the action plan under which camps have been established.
“We are working as per the action plan under which security forces are trying to ensure basic facilities at newly established camps (be it of paramilitary or police) in the region. According to the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ scheme of the state government, basic facilities like medical, ration outlets, schools and power supply are being provided to villages in insurgency-hit districts.
“Keeping the same in mind, a CRPF camp has recently been established at Puvarti, and the paramilitary force has developed a field hospital at their level,” he added.
He further said that the security personnel are working to ensure primary healthcare facilities for the residents in the area.
“Through this field hospital, the security personnel are working to ensure primary healthcare facilities for the residents in the area. Through this action, women, and children are getting a lot of benefit,” he said.
He further said that the field hospital in the area is working to improve the healthcare facilities for the villagers.
“In the field hospital, there are MBBS doctors and there is a facility where patients can be admitted. For secondary treatment, the community treatment centre or district hospital can also be referred to. To take the patients to the hospital, the army has ambulances. The field hospital, equipped with a dedicated medical team, is successfully providing primary medical facilities to the villagers and also referring patients to the district hospital as per the need,” he said.
When asked if these field hospitals are working to win the hearts of the local people, Bastar IG said that yes, they are working and forces are working like a bridge.
“The forces are working so that people get the benefit of all basic facilities. In this field hospital is also working towards that. Forces are working to provide medical facilities to the people. They are playing a key role in this. Due to this, the gap between locals and security forces has been reduced. And the gap between government and locals is also reducing,” he said.
The move is benefiting the villagers and simultaneously playing a pivotal role in reducing the gap between the government and people in the area, stated the officer, adding that the move has started making a positive impact on the health of women and children.
Bastar Range IG further said that CRPF’s field hospital, along with the healthcare unit of the district administration, is playing a significant role in improving the health conditions of people in the area.
The field hospital has a well-equipped ambulance as well as a bike ambulance to deal with an emergency condition, the officer informed.
Moreover, a PDS (public distribution system) outlet has also been established in the area to ensure the benefits of government schemes. (ANI)
