Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 24 (ANI): Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Finance Minister Jagdish Devda on Monday said the upcoming state annual budget would be in the interest of all sections of society and would focus on education and health.
He added that the preparations for the annual budget for the financial year 2024-2025 were underway and suggestions were taken from different departments, experts, and common people for the budget.
“The preparation for the annual budget is going on and suggestions are being taken from different departments and common man. This is a budget for the public and it is the budget of the public. We will include all sections of society in it and it will be an all-inclusive budget. I think that the basic needs should be fulfilled and we will focus on education, health and some other important issues,” Devda said.
“All the ongoing schemes of the state government will continue, and our efforts will be to present a good budget for the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav,” he added.
Deputy CM further added that a special budget of Rs 20,000 crore was sought from the Central Government for the upcoming Ujjain Simhastha mela 2028 and also sought financial assitance for Ken-Betwa project.
Ujjain Simhastha is a Hindu religious mela held every 12 years in the Ujjain city.
The budget session for the financial year 2024-2025 of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly will start on July 1 and it will be the first annual budget of the Mohan Yadav-led BJP government in the state. (ANI)
