The meeting is aimed at resolving military issues and resuming peace amongst the two nations, India and China. General Naravane has given a detailed intimation of the plan, that the military will implement. The plan involves disengagement of the troops from Galwan Valley, Gogra, Finger 4, and Hot Springs near Pangong Tso. Various sources have said that after the first phase of completion, further talks would be held between India and China. However, the cause of concern remains the presence of a large number of military personnel with heavy arms on both sides.
Movement Till The Peace-Points Awaited
Last month’s violent confrontation between Indian and Chinese troops, led to a military build- up on both sides of the LAC. It stretched from Ladakh to Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh. However, with all the recent talks, the situation seems to be improving.
Till the time, troops on both sides move to their peace-points from the LAC, trouble and fear will linger. Tensions will also remain high amidst such situations. On Friday, the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had a telecom with his US counterpart, Mark T Esper. They discussed closely regarding the standoff situation between India and China. The US Aerospace major Boeing will be handing over 22 Apache attack helicopters to improve the defence of India. These will be sent directly to the Air Force Station at Hindan.
