Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], October 17 (ANI): Ahead of the oath-taking ceremony of Haryana Chief Minister designate Nayab Singh Saini, BJP MLA Krishan Lal Middha said on Thursday that Saini had promised that he would take oath only after giving joining letters to youth and today they will get them.
Jind BJP MLA Krishan Lal Middha told ANI, “It is a matter of great pride for Haryana that whatever the Bharatiya Janata Party said has been done. Nayab Singh Saini said that he will take oath only after giving joining letters to 24,000 youth and today they will get the joining letters.”
Saini will take the oath of office, marking a new chapter for Haryana. The ceremony is scheduled to occur in Panchkula, with all NDA leaders invited to witness the event.
Following the ceremony, a crucial NDA meeting will be held in Chandigarh from 3 PM to 5 PM.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Chandigarh, coinciding with the swearing-in ceremony of Haryana’s upcoming Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday.
Prominent leaders expected at the meeting include Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Maharastra CM Ek Nath Sindhe, Dy CM Ajit Pawar, Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma, Nagaland CM Niphu Rio & Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, along with presidents and key leaders from all 31 NDA constituent parties.
This meeting marks the first gathering of the NDA after their government formation for a third term. Discussions will likely cover pressing political and social issues.
West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Tripura CM Manik Saha arrived in Chandigarh to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Haryana CM-designate Nayab Singh Saini.
Speaking on government formation in Haryana, BJP’s state general secretary, Archana Gupta said, “This time, the women of Haryana decided to form the BJP’s government for the third consecutive term… More than one lakh people will witness the swearing-in ceremony of the CM… Not only of Haryana but women of the entire country are with PM Modi.”
BJP leader Sunil Sangwan, while speaking to ANI asserted that the formation of the BJP government for the third time in the state is a “historical thing”.
Another party leader Nikhil Madan said, “I thank the top leadership of the party for giving a second chance to our Chief Minister.”
Nayab Singh Saini was on Wednesday chosen as the leader of Haryana BJP Legislature Party in a meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Chandigarh.
The BJP is set to form its third successive government in Haryana after it won 48 seats in the 90-member assembly as per the results announced last week. The Congress won 37 seats. (ANI)
