Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 1 (ANI): Charged up with exit polls predictions on Saturday that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is expected to make a clean sweep, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said the NDA will win all 80 seats in the state.
Speaking to ANI on Saturday, Pathak said, “Exit polls have shown that for the 3rd time, with a huge majority, BJP is going to form the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In Uttar Pradesh, NDA will win all the 80 seats…people have rejected the alliance of the Samajwadi Party and Congress.”
“Hooliganism of SP can also be seen during elections as well. Several times, rowdy elements of his (Akhilesh Yadav) party broke the stage and he was not able to address the rally. Congress is an alliance of people badly indulged in corruption and people had rejected them badly,” he added.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also claimed that NDA will touch the mark of 400 and said, “When the vote counting starts the number will reach 400. In Odisha, as per our expectation, numbers will go above 15, it will be between 15-20. The results from Odisha will be shocking…”.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also exuded confidence over the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after the release of the exit polls for the Lok Sabha elections, saying that the people of our country have full faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he will become the PM for the third tenure.
The voting for the marathon seven-phase polling process for the Lok Sabha elections, which began on April 19, came to an end Saturday.
The seventh and the final phase of polling for Lok Sabha elections across seven states and the Union territory of Chandigarh saw a voter turnout of 58.3 per cent till 5 pm, the Election Commission (ECI) said.
Earlier, as the 7th Phase of polling in General Elections 2024 wrapped up, the Election Commission of India thanked all stakeholders: voters, polling personnel, security forces, media, and political parties. Polling for the earlier six phases of Lok Sabha elections was held on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, and May 25. (ANI)
