Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], July 29 (ANI): Tamil Nadu BJP vice president Narayanan Thirupathy targeted the DMK-led state government over the death of three political workers in separate incidents.
Thirupathy accused the state government of lack of administration and careless attitude. He alleged that the state police “cannot control the mob or prevent killings happening in the state.”
“Law & order in Tamil Nadu have deteriorated and there is absolute lawlessness in the state. The police and the government are clueless. The police are not able to control the violent mob and contract killings happening in the state. This is due to a lack of administration and the careless attitude of the state government,” the BJP leader said while speaking to ANI on Monday.
“It is the duty of the government to maintain peace in the state, and if it is not able to do so, then it should get out,” he added.
Three functionaries of different political parties, including the BJP, AIADMK and Congress, were allegedly hacked to death in three separate incidents in Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan alleged that the law and order problem is prevalent in Tamil Nadu.

“Every day we can see news of political murders. Today morning, we saw news of the killing of an AIADMK official and a BJP worker in Sivaganga. They (the state government) have to concentrate on law and order,” she said.
She also criticised Chief Minister MK Stalin for skipping the NITI Aayog meeting held in Delhi on July 27.
“Just changing the officials and collectors is not the solution. The Tamil Nadu CM should have attended the Niti Aayog meeting. When they boycott such a meeting, they boycott the development of Tamil Nadu,” Tamilisai added.
All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) spokesperson Kovai Sathyan also targeted Chief Minister MK Stalin and alleged lawlessness in the state.
“In less than 24 hours, three people have been murdered belonging to different political parties in Tamil Nadu–the first one from AIADMK, the second from the BJP and the third one from Congress. This clearly indicates the state of lawlessness in Tamil Nadu and the incompetence of the CM, MK Stalin,” Kovai Sathyan said. (ANI)
