Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], October 6 (ANI): A three tier security arrangement has been implemented at the counting venues to ensure a smooth vote count on October 8 in the Udhampur district, police said on Sunday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amod Ashok Nagpure explained that two locations have been designated for the vote counting process, Government Degree College Boys and Government College for Women, Udhampur.
“A three-tier security system has been implemented at the counting venues. In the first layer are troops of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), in the second layer are guarded by State Armed Police, and in the third layer are troops of district police . At both strong rooms, and Counting halls Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) level officers will supervise security arrangements,” said a statement by the Udhampur district police.
Additionally, traffic restrictions have been put in place with special traffic arrangements being made to divert any incoming traffic.
