Unakoti (Tripura) [India], April 24 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said that the time has come for the INDIA alliance to gradually fade away as people have become aware of their tactics aimed at confusing the populace.

While addressing an election campaign for BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma at Fatikroy, on Tuesday, Saha said that 28 political parties had come together and formed the save Constitution committee, known as the “INDI alliance.”

“Slowly, they will disappear. All these efforts are merely tactics to confuse the public. They speak of democracy, yet during the emergency period, democracy was compromised. Many people were killed during the regimes of CPI (M) and Congress. Now, they have come together, claiming to protect the Constitution. These 28 political parties have united to protect their interests,” he added.

The Chief Minister further emphasized that what Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accomplished in the last 10 years is just a preview, with much more yet to come.

“No one can halt the progress of the double-engine government. A wave of development is sweeping across the nation, and leaders from other countries show respect to PM Modi by referring to him as Mr. Boss. BJP consistently prioritizes development and works for the welfare of women, the poor, farmers, and youth. Previously, an unstable situation prevailed. However, after Narendra Modi assumed office as Prime Minister in 2014, the country’s trajectory changed rapidly. This Lok Sabha election is crucial for safeguarding the nation. Significant improvements have been made in law and order in Tripura,” he said.
BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, Minister Sudhangshu Das, and youth leader Nabadal Banik were also present at the event.
Meanwhile, Tripura recorded the highest turnout at around 80.46 per cent, followed by West Bengal at 77.57 per cent. As Tripura recorded the highest turnout, INDIA bloc in Tripura has asked the Election Commission to countermand the polls of West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency and Ramnagar assembly constituency in the state, citing large-scale instances of poll manipulation through booth jamming, intimidation, and proxy voting.
The first phase of Lok Sabha polls took place on April 19 and the remaining 6 phases of the elections will continue on different dates till June 1 to elect the 543 members of the 18th Lok Sabha. The results will be announced on June 4. (ANI)
