Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 4 (ANI):The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, South West Teams, and Begum Bazar Police have successfully apprehended three interstate drug peddlers and seized hash oil worth Rs 7,65,000.
The operation took place near Gandhi Bhavan Metro Station, Nampally, where the suspects were intercepted while riding a bike. The police seized 1.275 kilograms of hash oil, a two-wheeler, and four mobile phones, bringing the total value of the confiscated items to Rs 8,65,000.
The main accused, identified as Chandan Kumar Choudhury Dinesh (34) from Dammaiguda, Hyderabad, was found in possession of the narcotic substance along with Yaddhnapudi Dhanraj (27) from Washing Centre Lane, Sriram Nagar, Baghlingampally, who was acting as a sub-peddler. Korra Babu David (30) from Anthruguda village in Allurisitharamaraju District, Andhra Pradesh, was identified as the supplier of the hash oil, which was transported from Odisha.
According to police reports, the task force team, acting on credible information, intercepted the suspects’ two-wheeler near Bheem Rao Bada, Nampally Road. During the operation, 950 grams of hash oil were found in one plastic cover, and 325 grams were contained in 65 small plastic vessels, each holding 5 grams of the substance.
A case has been registered against the accused under IPC Section 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(c) and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Begum Bazar Police Station.

The Commissioner’s Task Force, South West Zone team, and Begum Bazar police nabbed them and seized 1.275 kg of hash oil (950 grams packed in one plastic cover and 325 grams in small plastic vessels – 65 vessels, each containing 5 grams of hash oil, with a total weight of 6 grams per vessel) from their possession,” said the police.
The police appealed to the general public that, in recent times, drug abuse and consequent addiction is rising in society leading to disastrous consequences for the family as a unit and the society in general. Commissioner’s Task Force requests the public of Hyderabad to refrain from substance abuse and parents are advised to keep a watch on the activities of their children to ensure they do not fall prey to drugs.
