Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], September 30 (ANI): A 40-year-old engineer at the HCL Technologies Company recently died due to cardiac arrest in Mihan, Nagpur on September 27.
The engineer identified as Nitin Edwin Michael was found unconscious in the office washroom, following which he was taken to the AIIMS Nagpur for primary treatment, where he was declared dead upon arrival by the doctors.
A case has also been registered by Nagpur’s Sonegaon Police on grounds of accidental death.
Police had sent the body of the deceased engineer for a postmortem, and further investigation is underway.
He is survived by his wife and six-year-old son.
Following the incident, HCL Technologies issued a statement extending their condolences to the family members of the deceased employee and assured “all possible assistance” for them.
“This is an unfortunate incident and a tragic loss. We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased employee and are providing all possible assistance to them. In this incident, the employee was provided emergency support at the campus healthcare clinic and rushed to the hospital. The well-being of our people is of utmost priority and HCLTech provides healthcare programs for all its employees and their families, including on-campus clinics and annual preventive health checks,” the company statement stated.
