Vadodara (Gujarat) [India], October 5 (ANI): Authorities on Saturday said that the Vadodara Airport received a bomb threat via e-mail, which promoted a thorough search.
ACP Vadodara GB Bambhaniya said that all concerned departments were alerted about the threat that was recieved on Friday.
Inner and outer areas of the airport were thoroughly checked by dog squads. A joint meeting was called by the Airport Authority in which the Central Intelligence Bureau, state Intelligence Bureau and police took part.
The Commissioner of Police has handed over the case to the Cyber Crime Team for further probe, added ACP Vadodara.
ACP Vadodara, GB Bambhaniya said, “… The airport received a threat e-mail yesterday. All departments were alerted. Inner and outer areas of the airport were thoroughly checked by dog squads… Commissioner of Police has handed over the case to the Cyber Crime Team for further investigation…”
Security has been strengthened in loop areas, he said.
The sender of the email has not been identified yet. Investigation into the matter is underway. (ANI)
