Banaskantha (Gujarat) [India], October 4 (ANI): The eighth phase of the 3-day boot camp began at Suigam, Banaskantha, on Friday. In this boot camp, 19 students from Maharana Pratap International School, Sagwara, Dungarpur, Rajasthan, are participating, a press release said.
The boot camp opened with a comprehensive briefing on the history, role and tasks of the Border Security Force (BSF), followed by an exciting display of weapons, sparking enthusiasm among the participants.
During three days, the students will take part in a diverse range of challenging activities. These include physical training, yoga, obstacle negotiation, map reading exercises, unarmed combat, weapon drills, survival techniques and route marches.
The program also featured a campfire, local sightseeing, and a visit to Nadabet’s Seema Darshan, where participants will witness the iconic Retreat Ceremony, the release added.
By organising these boot camps in association with Gujarat Tourism under the aegis of the Vibrant Village program of the Government of India, BSF reaffirms its commitment towards nation-building and promoting border tourism. The boot camps not only provide participants a glimpse into the life of the armed forces but also nurture a sense of duty, camaraderie and respect for the security forces. (ANI)
