Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], October 12 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel performed Shastrapujan on the occasion of Vijayadashami in Gandhinagar on Saturday.
The ancient tradition of Shastrapujan continues to be an integral part of India’s Dussehra celebrations, symbolising the victory of good over evil.
In a post on X, CM Patel shared the pictures from the ceremony and wrote, “On the occasion of the auspicious day of Vijayadashami, Shastrapujan was performed with the security personnel of the CM Security family at Gandhinagar. Knowledge is a weapon for victory over internal enemies, while glory is also a weapon for victory against external negative forces.”
“Praying that this occasion of Shastrapujan may be an occasion for the victory of divine power over the demonic forces opposed to human welfare in the world,” he added.
CM Bhupendra Patel worshipped the weapons of his security guards at a ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s residence with a scriptural ritual as per the traditions. He also extended greetings to the security personnel on the occasion of Vijayadashami.
While speaking to the security personnel, the Chief Minister gave a comprehensive understanding that Karma Bandhan is connected with duty and duty. He said that while carrying out the duty of protection and security, one should remain diligent with the “idea of attaining salvation through sensitivity, compassion and satakrama”, which is the “true Karma Yoga” and sense of duty.
SP Chintan Teraiah, Head of Security Personnel handling the Chief Minister’s security arrangements, welcomed the Chief Minister on the occasion of Shastrapujan.
Deputy Superintendents of Police, Inspectors of Police, PSI and commandos, as well as vehicle drivers, etc., joined in the pujan.
