Panaji (Goa) [India], July 11 (ANI): Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday addressed the World Youth Skill Day Programme at Kala Academy and inaugurated Center of Excellence at ITIs at Farmagudi, Bicholim, Mapusa, Cacora and Vasco.
On this occasion, MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Education Secretary Prasad Lolayekar, Representatives of Tata Tech, Putzmeister, Siemens, Taj Hotels, Jaquar, Daikin, Directors of Planning & Statistics, Skill Development, and other dignitaries were also present at the event.
CM Sawant joined the MoU signing between Tata Technology and ITIs in the state and felicitated district-level achievers and the companies contributing to skill upgradation through CSR activities.
CM Sawant also said that skilling, reskilling, and upskilling are the mantra for youth under the Double Engine Sarkar with the aim of Kaushal Goa, and Kushal Goa with the aim of Swayampurna Goa.
He additionally stated that the government of Goa is committed to the skill development of youth empowering them for employment, and entrepreneurship with various initiatives like the CM Apprenticeship Program, bringing companies to invest in ITIs, and education institutes.
CM Sawant informed that the exhibition will be open till July 15 from 10 am to 5 pm at Kala Academy and appealed to youth, students, parents, and industry representatives to avail the services and explore opportunities in various sectors with skill upgradation for building a bright and successful future.
