Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 6 (ANI): Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday held a meeting to review the Smart City project in Gwalior, stating that the future of Gwalior is being shaped under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
“Today, we not only reviewed but also discussed 17 ambitious projects for Gwalior. We received many suggestions, and based on them, we made some changes and moved forward. Gwalior is evolving, and the Gwalior of the future is being built under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Mohan Yadav. Together, we will renovate the historic and glorious legacy of Gwalior, keeping our culture at the forefront as we recreate the Gwalior of the future,” Scindia told reporters after the meeting.
The Union Minister also highlighted various development projects in Gwalior and their benefits to the public.
Meanwhile, Scindia addressed concerns regarding the quality of airports in Delhi, Jabalpur, and Gwalior following recent incidents due to rainfall.
“As for the Delhi airport, that department is no longer under my jurisdiction. However, I have always believed, whether it’s the Civil Aviation, Telecom, North Eastern Region, or Steel Departments, that no injustice to the public should be tolerated, and any deficiencies must be addressed,” he said.
“I can specifically speak about Jabalpur and Gwalior airports. Regarding Jabalpur airport, it has a canvas roof, and when water accumulates on the canvas, it can create problems as it lacks cement or concrete. If there were any deficiencies, we would certainly address them,” the Union Minister added.
Commenting on the Gwalior airport, Scindia stated that the issue was temporary and has since been resolved.
“As far as the Gwalior airport is concerned, I do not believe it is a permanent issue. It was a temporary problem; one day it rained heavily, causing a blockage in the drain, which led to water collecting in the arrival area outside. The drain was cleaned within four hours, and there are no longer any issues. The road is now clean, and no water has accumulated due to leakage. The blockage in the drain has been cleared. These things can happen in our homes as well,” he concluded. (ANI)
