FIT INDIA Conclave an insightful event full of inspirational topics and guidance to the way forward.
Sunday 28th June 2020- The MedscapeIndia hosted a virtual event on their YOUTUBE channel from 2.00 P.M TO 5.00 P.M in honor of FIT INDIA Conclave completing 3 years and the FIT INDIA movement completing 6 years. A significant number of bureaucrats, physicians, and healthcare experts attended the third edition of ‘Fit India Innovation Conclave’ dwelt on the topic and exchanged views on how the healthcare system could be strengthened and how to deal with the changes happening because of the global pandemic. The conclave was hosted by the Founder and Chairperson of MedscapeIndia Dr. Sunita Dube. The event began with Dr. Dube and her team lighting the candles at Aryan Education and Medical Trust.
The Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the event. In his keynote address, the minister said the center has dramatically improved the healthcare delivery system in the country over the past six years under the leadership of Narendra Modi and WHO’s support. the center has a comprehensive surveillance program and India has been successfully able to deal with viruses like smallpox, hepatitis, and Ebola was handled at the initial stages and the center has been taking a lot of measures in order to combat with Coronavirus.

After the inauguration, Dr. Sunita Dube awarded the FIT INDIA HERO awards to the healthcare warriors who have been performing exceptionally for the last three months. The healthcare warriors shared their experiences and thanked MedscapeIndia and the WE DOCTORS campaign for supporting throughout their journey.
Honorable Health Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Rajesh Tope also graced the event and thanked all the healthcare warriors for playing their role in the fight against COVID-19. He very proudly mentioned that people with a lot of medical complexities like a ‘99-year-old women and a 92-year-old senior citizen’ have been treated by the Doctors He mentioned that the Maharashtra government will always back the medical fraternity and ensured that the healthy relationship of the government of Maharashtra and doctors will always continue. Addressing Dr. Sunita Dube and her Medscape India team he said “We are always there to support you in all the social and mental and financial aspects, the Maharashtra government will always be there strongly backing you during tough times.” Also announced Government with “We Doctors campaign “will start a mental health intervention center in Maharashtra to fight COVID related mental issues.
Medscape India also received a letter from the Honourable Vice President of India, congratulating them on completing 3 years of FIT INDIA Conclave and 6 years of FIT INDIA movement. I hope the participation of many health professionals in the virtual FIT INDIA Conclave will make it a platform to exchange experiences and ideas. I am sure that the event will also provide an excellent opportunity for young medical professionals to explore and exchange knowledge on the latest tools and technologies in medicine. After the letter was read, a panel of doctors which included Padma Shri Awardees like Dr. Shashank Joshi, Dr. Mohsin Wali, and Dr. Yash Gulati along with Dr. Anjali Chabbria later joined Dr. Sunita Dube in order to discuss the mental and physical issues faced by the people during these times. The topics of discussion included COVID task force – care & precaution to India, how to know your enemy, Exercise, Meditation & Food to deal with the pandemic. Mental Engineering for emerging India. After the panel discussion, a video from Dr. Ross Walker Australian Heart & Wellbeing specialist was played where he talked about the Global Impact of COVID 19 & its solution.
After the panel discussion Indian wrestler, actor, motivational speaker, philanthropist, and health guru discussed his views on how to deal with COVID 19 along with Dr. Sunita Dube. The discussion was very inspirational where he said the “we can cure any diseases and win over any situation provided we have the mental strength to do so, there is no cure for a person who is not mentally ready to recover”. He also shed light on how nature plays an important part in a person’s physical and mental journey.
The event was concluded with the Musical Duo the MEET BROTHERS cheering the doctors and the healthcare community with their singing. The event packed with inspirational insights and entertainment. This virtual event was a great example of thinking out of the box and always aiming for better things.
