New Delhi [India], June 28 (ANI): Actor Emma Roberts, daughter of veteran actor Eric Roberts and niece of Oscar-winner star Julia Roberts, has skillfully carried on her legendary family’s legacy in showbiz.
From starting to act as a child artist at the age of 9 in the film ‘Blow’ to starring in titular roles in projects such as ‘Nancy Drew’ and ‘Wild Child’, Emma has showcased her talent with varied roles over the years.
Emma, in a recent conversation with ANI, walked down memory lane and opened up about her journey.
Asked if she ever felt the pressure of carrying forward her family’s cinematic legacy, Emma shared that her family always supported her.
“I think my family was always hoping that I would do something more normal. No one ever pressured me to get into what I guess would be called the family business, but everyone’s supportive, and I haven’t felt pressure because I’ve always just wanted to do my own thing and do stuff that makes me feel creatively fulfilled and not do stuff to like, be like somebody else or be famous or be seen a certain way, but just kind of, you know, like figure it out for myself. And everyone’s been super supportive of that…I feel blessed,” Emma said.
In the coming days, Emma is all set to surprise her audience with her new film, ‘Space Cadet’. In the movie, Roberts plays the role of Tiffany “Rex” Simpson, who has always dreamed of going to space, but life isn’t going quite as planned.
‘Space Cadet’ is written and directed by Liz W. Garcia. It will be out on Prime Video on July 4. (ANI)
