Dewas (Madhya Pradesh) [India], February 10 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday took a jibe at the Congress party and its top leadership asking did any of them (referring to Gandhi family) visit Prayagraj to take a holy dip in Maha Kumbh Mela.
The Chief Minister further said that they (Congress) only visit to seek votes but feel shy to participate in the Maha Kumbh.
CM Yadav made the remark while addressing a program organised to transfer monthly aid of Ladli Behna Yojana to women in Sonkatch in Dewas on Monday.
Addressing the program, CM Yadav said, “The world is rushing towards Prayagraj for Maha Kumbh. Has anyone seen them (referring to Gandhi family) for the Amrit Snan there? Did any of them visit there? Pappu, his mother or his sister ? They only come to seek votes. But they feel shy to visit the world’s largest Mela, Maha Kumbh. It is because they want votes from a particular section… If you do like this then how will anyone vote for you?”
The Chief Minister also emphasised that the state government would provide assistance to all the pilgrims going to Prayagraj from Madhya Pradesh.
“Two days ago, I visited there with my family and took a holy dip because we have faith. Congress people feel shy as it seems they didn’t take baths. Don’t know in which world they are living. Maa Ganga calls and people take a holy dip and seek her blessings. Though it is another issue that one needs fortune to get her call…,” the CM said.
Additionally, the Chief Minister said that his government is continuously engaged to bring betterment in the life of every individual in the state. The state government is standing tall with the people in need as the government wants to take the country forward across the globe and make Madhya Pradesh number one state in the country.
“Today we are transferring the monthly aid of the Ladli Behna Yojana in the accounts of beneficiaries. Congress was lying across the nation that the government will be unable to continue the scheme but we left no stone unturned to run the scheme. We are also providing financial assistance to women for the Gas refill scheme… Currently, we are depositing Rs 1250 a month to Ladli Behnas and don’t worry we will gradually increase this amount to Rs 3000 a month,” CM Yadav said.
CM Yadav transferred Rs 1553 crore to the accounts of over 1.27 crore beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana, Rs 1624 crore to 81 lakh beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana and over Rs337 crore to 56 lakh beneficiaries of the Social Security Pension Scheme through a single click.
Additionally, CM Yadav performed Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration of development works worth Rs 144.84 crore for the Sonkatch region on the occasion. (ANI)
