New Delhi [India], October 3 (ANI): Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj reacted on Thursday to the incident of a doctor being shot dead inside hospital premises on social media.
He alleged the Central government and Delhi LG V.K. Saxena’s administration failure resulted in a shocking incident and held responsible for rising crime in the national capital.
He posted on X handle, “Delhi has become crime capital–gangsters operating with ease, extortion calls and firings, and daily murders. Central Govt. & @LtGovDelhi have failed in their basic work for Delhi.”
According to Delhi police, a doctor was shot dead inside Nima Hospital, Jaitpur, under the Kalindi Kunj PS area. CCTV footage and visuals are being examined to identify the accused.
As per hospital staff, two men had come to the hospital with an injury; after dressing, they had demanded to meet the doctor and shot him dead once they entered his cabin.
Meanwhile, police are investigating the case and have started a suspect search operation.
AAP’s Saurabh Bharadwaj had raised the issue of rising crime and gangster influence in the national capital earlier as well.
“Gangsters’ dominance increased inside Delhi. 15 days ago, a gym owner of Greater Kailash was shot dead. In 24 hours, bullets were fired at three major places, and everyone had received calls for extortion. Even AAP MLAs Sanjiv Jha and Ajay Dutt have been threatened for ransom by gangsters. At the place where bullets were fired the previous day, he had been receiving threats for the past six months. He even filed an FIR but the police did not take any action,” the Delhi minister posted on X on October 2.
Earlier in the day, Delhi MLAs wrote to the L-G, raising concerns about increasing incidents of gangsters demanding extortion from businesses in Delhi. They have sought an urgent meeting with LG. (ANI)
