Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 27 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that India will be governed by Baba Saheb’s Constitution and not Sharia law.
“The leaders of the Indi alliance aim to introduce inheritance tax and personal laws, including Sharia law, in India. However, India will be governed by Baba Saheb’s Constitution, not Sharia law. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also affirmed that the country will be ruled solely by the Constitution, and no other regulations will be implemented,” CM Yogi said.
He also criticised Congress for manipulating the country’s sentiments. He accused them of attempting to undermine the reservation system for Scheduled Castes and Backward Castes in favor of Muslims, which he firmly opposed.
“Today, the spirit of Kashi is resonating throughout the nation. Kashi itself is endorsing the ‘Fir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar’. Today, whatever Kashi thinks, the entire country follows,” he said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made these remarks during a public meeting in Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency on Monday, urging the public to ensure Prime Minister Modi’s record-breaking victory.
“Kashi, one of the oldest cities in the world, endured 70 years of neglect. However, in the last decade, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kashi has been transformed. The city’s ancient glory has been restored. The ghats are now bustling with festivity 24×7, whereas they were previously neglected and lifeless,” he said.
Taking a dig at the opposition, he said, “The once hazardous tangle of wires in Kashi’s streets has been addressed. Over the past ten years, Prime Minister Modi has changed Kashi’s and the entire nation’s destiny. During the Congress era, the city was frequently targeted by terrorists. When questioned, Congress shamelessly claimed that the terrorists were from across the border. Today, even a minor disturbance in the country prompts Pakistan to issue clarifications preemptively. This change is solely due to Prime Minister Modi’s efforts.”
“India has become a powerful nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. The country is witnessing the development of world-class infrastructure, including construction of the largest ropeway in Kashi. By the end of the year, it will connect Cantt station to Baba Vishwanath Dham, enabling one lakh devotees to visit Kashi daily. Kashi is now linked by world-class highways, railways, and an international airport, and a waterway between Varanasi and Haldia has also been established,” CM Yogi added.
CM Yogi highlighted, “The dream that Kashi saw 10 years ago has been realized today by PM Modi. Prime Minister Modi initiated the cleanliness campaign from Assi Ghat in Kashi, and today, the ghats are sparkling clean. Previously, cancer patients from Kashi had to travel to Mumbai for treatment, but now the Tata Super Specialty Cancer Hospital from Mumbai is available in Kashi.”
While Kashi is setting new development benchmarks, the crackdown on mafia activities continues, making the entire state, including Purvanchal, mafia-free.
CM Yogi recalled how mafia members under the SP government had killed BJP MLAs Krishnanand Rai, Umesh Pal, Raju Pal, and Ramesh Patel. He emphasized that the BJP has successfully eliminated these mafias.
He also expressed his strong opposition to the Indi Alliance’s proposal for special food and drink facilities for minorities, which could potentially permit beef consumption. He emphasized the cultural significance of the cow in India, where it is revered as a ‘mother’, and has made it clear that such practices will not be allowed.
“The people of the country have recognized Congress’s true intentions and are united for ‘Jo Ram Ko Laye Hain, Hum Unko Layenge’. The public has committed to ensuring a victory for the NDA with more than 400 seats, a prospect that unsettles the INDI alliance,” he remarked further. (ANI)
