Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], July 11 (ANI): Outlining key objectives of the “Haryana Maange Hisaab” campaign, Haryana Assembly leader of opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday said that the party aims to reach out to the people, hear their complaints and include it in the manifesto for the upcoming state assembly elections and highlight the BJP government’s shortcomings.
Hooda stated that the “Haryana Maange Hisaab” campaign aims to inform the public about the alleged shortcomings of the current government, understand the mindset and expectations of the people through feedback, and use this feedback to shape the party’s manifesto.
The Haryana Assembly Elections are to be held later this year on 90 Assembly seats. The tenure of Haryana Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be end on 3 November 2024.
The campaign aims to expose the failures of the BJP government to the public across all 90 assembly constituencies.
Haryana Assembly LoP, Bhupinder Singh Hooda while addressing a press conference in Chandigarh said, “This program, ‘Haryana Maange Hisaab’ is made for the Assembly elections… The BJP and JJP government did not fulfil any of their promises… There are 3 intentions of this program. First, to let the people know about the failure of this government. Second, to know about the mindset and expectations of people and get their feedback. And third, let our resolutions reach the people. We will take the feedback from the people and then try to put it in our manifesto”.
Following the Bharat Jodo Yatra and Hath se hath Jodo Abhiyan, Hooda stated that “Haryana Maange Hisab” is a new beginning in this series.
“From Bharat Jodo Yatra to Opposition Aapke Saamne, Door to Door Congress, Hath Se Hath Jodo Abhiyan, Jan Milan Samaroh and Thankful Workers Conference, all the Congress programmes have received tremendous support from the public. In this series, ‘Haryana Maange Hisaab’ is a new beginning. Through this campaign, we will convey the failures of the BJP government and the announcements of the Congress to the public. Along with this, we will collect suggestions from the public for the party manifesto and solve the problems of the people effectively if the Congress government is formed,” Hooda wrote in a post on X.
Following an important meeting of the Congress officials on July 14 in Sonipat, the ‘Haryana Maange Hisaab’ campaign will formally begin from July 15.
Congress leader Deepender Singh Hooda also stated that through the ‘Haryana Maange Hisaab’, the party aims to engage directly with the public by posing 15 critical questions to the government through a specially curated booklet.
Addressing the media, Hooda emphasized that through the campaign, the party wants to engage with the public in a direct manner and include their demands in the manifesto.
Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, Hooda said, “Congress party has put 15 questions in front of the government through the booklet ‘Haryana Maange Hisaab’. We will make these questions reach the people through door-to-door campaign. We will also ask for the feedback from people. We will ask their expectations from the Congress. It was the mindset of Rahul Gandhi when he said that we should include people’s feedback in our manifesto”.
“We will also ask for people’s opinions that after the Congress government comes to the state, what will be their expectations. Our manifesto will be people’s manifesto,” he added.
