New Delhi [India], July 17 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed in detail the Chhattisgarh Vision @ 2047 created for the long-term development of Chhattisgarh.
“During this important meeting held at his residence in New Delhi, the Chief Minister informed the Union minister that the state government has identified eight different areas towards developed Chhattisgarh. He added that a working committee has been formed to accelerate development in these areas, which is regularly discussing with the common people and experts and preparing an effective action plan,” as per a press release from Chhattisgarh Chief
Chief Minister Sai also apprised the Union Home Minister about the effective action being taken against the supply and funding network of Maoists in the state. He informed that the state government has taken strict steps to curb the activities of Maoists and dismantle their financial network.
The Chief Minister also informed the Home Minister about Naxal operations and development works in Maoist-affected areas. He added that infrastructure is being expanded rapidly in Maoist areas, and the state government has conducted special campaigns for education and health services in these areas.
During the meeting, Home Minister Amit Shah appreciated the efforts of the Chhattisgarh Government and assured full support of the Central Government to maintain peace and stability in the state.
Earlier in the day, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with the Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and held discussions regarding new rail line in Chhattisgarh.
While speaking to reporters, Chief Minister Sai said, “Along with our Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, I met with the Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and held discussions regarding new rail line in Chhattisgarh. Railways cover is less in the state but after PM Modi came to power for the third time, we have huge expectations…In the coming times, Chhattisgarh will get 4 new rail lines…Discussions were held regarding the upcoming developments in the state regarding the Railways sector.” (ANI)
