Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 11 (ANI): Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Harish Rao claimed that the central government has sanctioned Rs 100 crore to Andhra Pradesh for Godavari Pushkaralu preparations, but Telangana has been completely left out.
Despite having eight BJP MPs and two Union Ministers from Telangana, the state was “ignored.” Both BJP and Congress have failed to fight for Telangana’s rightful share, which is “deeply disappointing”, Rao said in a statement.
“If BRS had a stronger position in the Lok Sabha, we would never have allowed such a grave injustice to occur,” he said in the statement.
He claimed the “glaring disparity” in the Union Budget allocations, where Andhra Pradesh received Rs15,000 crore in additional grants, while Telangana got zero. “Is Telangana being sidelined again? Why this continuous bias?” questioned Harish Rao.
Harish Rao emphasized that Telangana demands its rightful share and equal treatment. “We will not settle for anything less than what our state rightfully deserves,” he affirmed.
Harish Rao called on the Central Government to correct this “injustice” immediately and ensure that Telangana is given the same consideration as other states in all future allocations. (ANI)
