New Delhi [India], July 8 (ANI): Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi launched a scathing attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that even if BJP wins a single seat in the 2025 Delhi Legislative Assembly election, it will be a big thing for them.
“In 2020 (elections), the BJP gave the slogan of crossing 45 (seats) but got only 8. Now in 2025, the kind of scams they are constantly doing to trouble the people of Delhi, whether it is stopping Delhi’s water supply through their Haryana govt, whether it is a conspiracy to spoil Delhi’s government schools…” said Delhi Minister Atishi.
“I am telling you today with full confidence that if the BJP gets even 1 seat in 2025, it will be a big thing for them,” she added further.
Earlier, after Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena, directed to keep orders on the transfer of 5,000 teachers in abeyance as an interim measure, Education Minister Atishi said that they will strongly oppose any attempt which is made to stop Delhi’s education revolution in the future.
Her remarks came after LG Saxena ordered a temporary halt to the transfer of 5000 Delhi government school teachers.
“On July 2, BJP transferred 5000 government school teachers overnight through its LG. This transfer was done against the order of Delhi’s Education Minister. These 5000 teachers were transferred because these are the teachers who have transformed schools in the last ten years along with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. These are the teachers, due to whose hard work the government schools of the city are better than private schools today,” the AAP leader said on Sunday.
The AAP leader said that they are happy with LG Saxena’s order to stop the transfer of teachers and the party will keep fighting for the rights of teachers and the education of Delhi’s children.
“But we had promised then that Delhi’s Arvind Kejriwal government would not let the schools suffer. We will keep fighting for the rights of teachers and the education of Delhi’s children. Today we are happy that BJP, their LG had to stop the transfer of these 5000 teachers. If any attempt is made to stop Delhi’s education revolution in the future, we will strongly oppose it,” she added. (ANI)
