Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], October 2 (ANI) : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 155th birth anniversary on Wednesday.
He took part in an event organised on the occasion. Odisha Governor Raghubar Das, State Legislative Assembly speaker Surama Padhy, and state ministers also paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary at the premises of the Odisha Legislative Assembly in Bhubaneswar.
He also lauded the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for significant steps towards promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability with the launch of Swachhata Swachhta Abhiyan.
Participating in “Swachhta Abhiyan” on the occasion, the chief minister said in a post on X, “From open defecation-free villages to cleaner cities, the Swachh Bharat Mission, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, has empowered millions and created a cleaner, healthier India. Let’s continue this vital journey together”.
