New Delhi [India], June 10 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arjun Ram Meghwal is set to continue as Minister of State (independent charge) in the Ministry of Law and Justice in the newly formed National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre.
Meghwal has also assumed the charge as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
The portfolio for PM Modi-led Union Cabinet was announced today late evening.
After the announcement, Arjun Ram Meghwal on Social media stated, “I expressed my heartfelt gratitude to the PM Narendra Modi ji for entrusting me once again with the responsibilities of the Union Ministry of Law and Justice and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. I pledge to faithfully fulfil my duties under the esteemed leadership and guidance of the Prime Minister.”
Arjun Ram Meghwal is an MP from Bikaner for the fourth time; he earlier left the IAS job and joined politics, and is counted among Modi’s trusted leaders.
This time in the general elections, Arjun Ram Meghwal defeated Govindram Meghwal of Congress from Rajasthan’s Bikaner seat by 55,711 votes.
