Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 3 (ANI): Leader of Opposition in Karnataka R Ashoka on Saturday criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for corruption in the Congress government and blamed it for the recent death of a Police Sub-Inspector in Yadgiri.
Ashoka alleged that the Yadgiri Police Sub-Inspector Parashuram’s death was due to stress and harassment by Congress MLA Chennareddy Patil and his son.
The Karnataka Leader demanded the immediate resignation of MLA Chennareddy and called for a CBI investigation, urging action from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
In a post on X, Ashoka said, “Another Dalit Officer Falls Victim to Congress Government Corruption. In the corruption case involving the Valmiki Development Corporation, honest Dalit officer Chandrashekharan was made a victim by the @INCKarnataka government. Now, the government has demanded a bribe for a transfer, leading to the demise of another Dalit officer, PSI Parashuram from Yadgiri.”

“Congress MLA Chennareddy Patil and his son Sunny Gowda are responsible for the death of Yadgiri PSI Parashuram, who died of a heart attack due to stress and mental harassment, his wife and family members have made serious allegations and filed a written complaint,” he added in the post.
“Since there is no survival for honest and efficient officials in this corrupt Congress government, I urge CM @siddaramaiah and DCM @DKShivakumar to demand immediate resignation from MLA Chennareddy’s post and to hand over this case to CBI investigation,” he added in the post.
BJP leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal also blamed Yadgiri MLA Chennareddy Patil Tunnur and his son Sunny Gowda for PSI Parashuram’s death and called for an impartial investigation.
“Cash For Posting – The Congress government has taken another victim in the Karnataka transfer scam,” he said in a post on X.

“PSI Parashuram has been harassed and extorted for money, leading to his death, for which Yadgiri MLA Chennareddy Patil Tunnur and his son Sunny Gowda are responsible,” he added in the post.
“Only seven months ago, Parashuram had taken a posting in the city station by paying 30 lakhs, getting trapped in debt. Now, he has been harassed again for money through an illegal transfer. I urge an impartial investigation into this matter,” he further added in the post. (ANI)
