Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], June 20 (ANI): With the view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of Jammu, Anand Jain on Thursday conducted a briefing session with police officers to ensure a secure, smooth, and successful pilgrimage for the devotees at the Conference Hall of ZPHQ Jammu.
The briefing included measures to provide medical aid and other necessary facilities to the pilgrims.
The ADGP emphasized collaboration with health departments to set up medical camps and ensure the availability of emergency medical services.
DIG Jammu, SSP PCR Jammu, SSP Jammu, besides all Police officers earmarked by PHQ for Amarnath Yatra were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, strategies were laid out to fortify the security apparatus along the Yatra route, with special emphasis on vulnerable points.
The ADGP highlighted the importance of vigilance and coordination among the forces to pre-empt and counter any potential threats and effective traffic regulation plans were discussed to manage the flow of pilgrims and vehicles, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum safety.
Officers were instructed to coordinate with the traffic department to maintain seamless transit routes.
Contingency plans for dealing with natural disasters or emergencies were discussed. The officers were briefed on rapid response protocols and the importance of timely coordination with disaster management teams.
