New Delhi [India], August 13 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday welcomed Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena’s decision to nominate Delhi Home Minister Kailash Gahlot to hoist the national flag on August 15th at the Chhatrasal Stadium event, saying, “this move honours the principle of democracy.”
“We welcome the decision to have Delhi’s Home Minister, Kailash Gahlot, hoist the national flag on August 15. This move honours the principle of democracy by choosing an elected representative over an appointed one, reinforcing the importance of the people’s mandate in our governance,” AAP said in a statement.

As per the DMRC, metro services will become active on all its lines from all terminal stations. The train services will be available at a frequency of 15 minutes on all the lines till 6:00 am and thereafter, a regular timetable will be followed for the rest of the day.
This arrangement will be valid for exit only at Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, and Chandni Chowk Metro stations, which are closest to the venue. The same Invitation Cards will also be valid for performing return journeys from these three stations only. Regular announcements will be made inside the trains to inform passengers about these arrangements. The cost of such travel will be reimbursed to DMRC by the Ministry of Defence, said the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. (ANI)
