Kohima (Nagaland) [India], September 28 (ANI): NCC girl cadets interacted with Indian Army troops near Tipong Collieries in the Tinsukia district of Assam under the theme of ‘A Day with Company Commander’, said the Ministry of Defence on Saturday.
The cadets were given a tour of the Army camp, where they witnessed rigorous training exercises and state-of-the-art equipment. Cadets participated in team building activities like tug of war and musical chairs, said the Ministry of Defence.
As the day progressed, the cadets got an opportunity to engage in interactive sessions with soldiers listening to the experiences and challenges of the soldiers and were inspired by the incidents of bravery and their sacrifices, the statement added further.
Notably, NCC cadets time and again get such opportunities to provide them with better exposure. Such events are organised to encourage more youth to join the armed forces. (ANI)
