Kharagpur (West Bengal) [India], April 17 (ANI): Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in the country, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Agnimitra Paul launched a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that many unnecessary rules and regulations have been imposed in the state in view of Ram Navami celebrations.
“Police are putting too much pressure on the Ram Navami Akhara procession, which is going to be taken out today…like DJ cannot be played, a certain time is scheduled and more than four vehicles cannot be taken out,” Paul said.
Accusing the CM of being anti-Hindu, she said, “Timing has not been looked at during Muharram but it has been during Ram Navami and Durga Puja; we are not going to tolerate this anymore…West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee says that she is a Hindu, however, she is an anti-Hindu.”
The BJP leader further warned all the people in the state, saying that Mamata Banerjee can create riot-like situations as she has realised that she will lose in the upcoming general elections. “We all need to be careful of her,” she added.
Notably, polling in the 42 parliamentary constituencies in West Bengal will be held on April 19, April 26, May 4, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.
