New Delhi [India], October 19 (ANI): BJP MLAs’ held a demonstration on Saturday against the Delhi government demanding an Assembly session on the 12 CAG reports.
Ghonda MLA, Ajay Mahawar questioned on what the AAP government was hiding from the people of Delhi in the CAG reports.
Speaking to ANI, he said “What is there in the CAG report that AAP is hiding from the people? We request an assembly session on the 12 CAG reports and the people should be told on what is there in the report.”
Vishwas Nagar MLA Omprakash Sharma said that the national capital had turned into the most polluted city and that Arvind Kejriwal’s blank promises on making Delhi like Singapore were fake.
“Delhi, the national capital is the most polluted city today. Arvind Kejriwal just made fake promises on making Delhi similar to Singapore. Everyone including kids can see how polluted the city is. Kejriwal kept saying that he would improve Yamuna and Ganga but we all know what is their condition today and all the money has gone into corruption. The report needs to be presented to the public to show the work done by the government. We will go to the Court and the streets and protest,” Sharma said.
Laxmi Nagar MLA Abhay Verma said that the pollution in the city was rising every year and the government did not have answers on this.
“The government does not have answers. The air conditions in the capital city has been deteriorating every year. They could have hidden one or two reports, but why 12 reports,” the MLA said.
BJP MLA Vijender Gupta said that the public was being looted and the AAP government had to be changed.
“The public feels looted. This AAP government needs to be changed right now. The AQI in October is 300, what will be the condition in the coming months? He couldn’t clean Yamuna, now he won’t go to get his votes right? Their wounds of corruption are so deep that they have to hide it,” Gupta said.
On September 25, the LG VK Saxena’s Secretriat had written to the Chief Secretary of Delhi and asked him to take necessary steps to lay all pending CAG reports during ensuing Assembly session.
The LG secretariat also wrote to the Principal Secretary (Finance) to ensure the laying of the “Performance Audit Report of the CAG on Public Health Infrastructure and Management of Health Services relating to the GNCTD.”
The 12 CAG pending reports deal with matters including three State Finances Audit, Prevention of Vehicular Air Pollution, Public Health Infrastructure and Services, Regulation and Supply of Liquor, Children in need of care and protection, Revenue in economic, social and general sectors & PSUs, Two Finance Accounts and Two Appropriation Accounts, are pending since 2021, the LG secretariat said.
