New Delhi (India), October 8 (ANI): As Bharatiya Janata Party secured a majority in Haryana by winning 48 seats out of the 90 in the Assembly election, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated Haryana incumbent CM Nayab Singh Saini.
“The people of Haryana have formed a double-engine government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I congratulate all the workers and the people of Haryana. I also congratulate the Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini,” CM Dhami said.
The BJP won 48 seats in the Haryana assembly, getting an absolute majority in the 90-member House. The party is poised to form its third successive government in the state. Meanwhile, Congress seat tally folded at 37 seats. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has won 2 seats. Additionally, Independent candidates have won three seats. The Assembly has 90 seats.
Speaking about Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Election, CM Dhami said that BJP performed well and progressed under leadership of PM Modi.
“Our party has performed well and people have also supported it. Certainly, Jammu and Kashmir has progressed under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Peace has been established there. Incidents of stone pelting have reduced after the abrogation of Article 370.” CM Dhami said.
Election Commission of India has declared the result for J-K Assembly Elections. The alliance of National Conference and Congress achieved majority by securing 48 seats, with the former winning 42 and later bagging 6 seats, BJP won 29 seats while Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP won only 3 seats. AAP also opened its account in J-K, winning from Handwara constituency. (ANI)
