Damoh (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 5 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav along with cabinet ministers visited tourist places related to Rani Durgavati and also offered prayers at the ancient Kali temple in Singrampur in the district on Saturday.
CM Yadav also prayed for the happiness and welfare of the people of the state on the occasion.
In a post on X, CM Yadav wrote, “Today I visited the Singorgarh Fort located in Singrampur of Damoh district, which was witness to the valorous saga of sacrifice, penance and martyrdom of the great warrior Rani Durgavati, and offered prayers at the ancient Bhadra Kali Mata temple. I prayed for the happiness and welfare of the people of the state.”
Earlier in the day, to celebrate the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati, CM Yadav chaired a cabinet meeting in Singrampur in the district, which has been capital of her kingdom and attended various programs organised here on the occasion.
The CM paid tribute to the grand statue of Rani Durgavati installed here and also interacted with artists here. Besides, the CM addressed a public gathering, transferred funds to beneficiaries of various schemes, including Mukhyamantri Laldi Behna Yojana.
After the program, CM Yadav told reporters that he remembered the brave Rani Durgavati and from her good governance, the state government took a pledge to follow the good path and implement the schemes of her time.
“On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati, we held a cabinet meeting here. We have made the programme multidimensional by combining all the works of the society, starting from Ladli Behna Yojana. The people appreciate this. I remember our brave Rani Durgavati. From her good governance, our government takes a pledge to follow the good path and implement the schemes of her time, especially for farmers, water facilities to reach the farm lands of farmers, facilities for the soldiers in the state and there are many other works which we will do,” CM Yadav said.
